| Open a New Document in Ready,Set,Go! | ||
|
When you start Ready,Set,Go! a new document appears in a window on your desktop. A menu bar appears across the top of the screen. You choose commands from the menus in this bar--commands for everything from opening a new document to printing it out.
You can open as many document windows as available memory allows. You can arrange the windows on the screen using either standard Macintosh procedures or with commands in the Windows submenu of the Document menu. |

Each window has one ruler at the top and one along the side. Tracking lines in the ruler show the position of the mouse pointer.
The status bar, at the lower left of the window, gives you additional information while you work. For example, if you are editing text it displays the current font, style, size and leading. Your document page is in the middle of a pasteboard. The pasteboard is a temporary work area. You can use it to refine objects before you place them in your document. Items you leave on the pasteboard are available from every page of your document. The page itself is shown by a rectangle with a drop shadow and crop marks. |
